Well, given what this area has to offer in the way of forested / waterside camping, near perfect bus roads for cruises, vineyards that would embrace us, I'm not so sure but what a Murphy bus event could not pass muster against others.

None the less, maybe a
1st weekend - May,
3rd weekend - June,
4th weekend - July,
3rd weekend - August.
or
4th weekend - August.

Venue would be Saturday private wine tasting sponsored by one (or more) of the vineyards, available campsites w/ supplied firewood and toilets, DJ or band music, catered BBQ, at least one nice cruise, trophies for pre-defined categories well beyond just trailer queens.

About all we would expect would be attendance, hold harmless signatures, and cleaning up after one's own mess to the best of ability.

(around the 3rd or 4th weekend) Tulsa, VW show Sept. last weekend a VW drag event in KC, not sure if this will continue each year. '06 was first year for a June and Sept. event. Oct. 1st weekend is Indigibus in southern MO Oct. 2nd weekend is Hermann fall event in Hermann, MO Oct. (halloween weekend) is Bustoberfest in southern NE Nov- ? The buses can rest a bit and get that much needed maintence performed.

There's a few other VW events scattered in between (most very local to KC or MO area) other than that, the calendar's free! :) These are the events within a 5 hour drive of the central MO area that I am aware of. Let us know early, so we can mark the calendar.
