Does anyone actively use open reel tape? Back in the 60's and 70's I collected a couple hundred ficve inch reels, each with enough tape to record one album. So now I'm in the process of digitizing and getting rid of all those tapes. I would sure like to give them to someone who could make use of them rather than to throw them away. Also have lots of seven inch reels to do next. Any interest? Back in the day, I used a modified Sony 105 (open reel). I have an RCA 4-track machine that has variable-speed and pitch compensation. Quite an elaborate machine, but I haven't used it in years. Never used a variable-speed machine for music. I am currently working on digitizing all my open reel tapes. Hope I can find someone to give them to when I'm through. Hate to just throw them away. How many of you have experimented with them musically, and how many of you use them for audiobooks? Tell me your story. Tyler Z
