Hi all,
Thanks to everyone for all the advice.
Today we took Carol's phone back to the dealer from whom she
purchased it, and an engineer in that particular company
was able to perform a hard reset on the phone and then
reinstall both Talks and the KNFB reader. Luckily I had some
of the contacts Carol had lost on my phone, and she's got
the remainder in a Braille book here in the flat, so we've
been able to put some back this afternoon, and she can add
the rest of the contacts over the next few days.
We will most likely make sure that once all the contacts are
back in the phone we back them up to the phone's MMC.
Carol did lose some text messages, but they were just the
type of quick messages that she wouldn't have kept anyway.
