It looks like this is where you went wrong: 3. user name: used my real name.
You should have either typed your full Email address here or the part before the "@" sign.
Original message:
I have a third party email address from Clear.com

I have tried to set it up without success.

1. under account lable put my name.
2. typed in the pop 3 server name. in this case: pop.clear.net
3. user name: used my real name
4. password typed in the same one with Clear. It has only 4 letters
and numbers.
5. Since I want my name to show up when I send an email I typed it in
the from box.
6. typed in the email address.
7. done. pressed enter on add.

Each time I check for messages to see if this new email address works
the message email check fail comes back.

Where am I going wrong.

Any suggestions.
