One of StarMetro's proposed changes, slated for January, 2012 implementation,
is to truncate the east end of the Tall Timbers line near Koger, so that it
would no longer serve CCOC, Southwood and Florida High. This would leave this
area served only by the Red Hills run.
Below is a petition which will be submitted to City Commission members early
next week (Nov. 21) in an effort to retain better service to these areas of
housing, employment, and education.

If you concur with the language (given below), and would like your name,
address, and bus usage information printed on a petition, please email the
following information OFF LIST to me at ericamccaul@xxxxxxxxxxxx and I will
transcribe it and submit the petition. (Note that since this is not a
referendum petition, no signature is required.)
Your name
Your address
One or more of the following check boxes-- specify R, T, and/or 80x:
Current Red Hills User
Current Tall Timbers User
Need 80x reinstated to use StarMetro

Here is the language:
   800x600 Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE
                                                 "We the undersigned either
live or work at Southwood or want busservice reinstated to Southwood from CK
Steel Plaza via Apalachee Parkway.?

We petition the Tallahassee City Commission to (1) reinstate the80X express
service to Southwood by January 31, 2012; and (2) maintain theexisting "T" bus
route to Southwood until the 80X bus isagain?operational. If the T bus is
continued after the 80X service isreinstated, the T bus should be routed to the
hub downtown.
?When the 80X was operational it was overwhelming successful; thenew Star Metro
system should reinstate this valuable service."
Because of the approaching deadline, I would ask that all submissions be made
by Friday, Nov. 18, at 5pm. (If you're gonna do it, spend the 30 seconds NOW!!)

Thank you,
Erica McCaul
