StarMetro Offers Free Rides This Thursday
National Dump the Pump Day Encourages Use of Public Transportation - With gas
prices edging higher and summer expenses adding up, now is the perfect time
to try public transportation. This Thursday, June 16, StarMetro is making it
easy to save gas and money by offering a fare free transit day for all fixed
routes. StarMetro, along with other public transit systems nationwide, is
offering this fare free day in support of the 11th annual Dump the Pump Day.
Sponsored by the American Public Transportation Association (APTA), this
nationally recognized day is designed to encourage the use of public
transportation.
