Since we were discussing internet training, here’s another source: the company who sells you your screen reader. Which raises another issue for blind people with little money: even if you get a discounted computer, you’ve got the issue of a screen reader to get past before the internet is usable. GW will let you rent the screen reader for a low monthly fee, or let you buy it with monthly payments (a very unusual arrangement for a company selling assistive technology). NVDA is free, but rather limited in its capabilities, and you must use one of the free SAPI voices (unresponsive and not great quality).
