Hi Ladies!!
I’ve heard from lots of church members who are thrilled BWS is back!!!
Planning is already in high gear and we need EVERY SWC MEMBER’S HELP!
Below you will find the amazing sign up link put together for us by
Michelle!!!! Many, many thanks for her technical talents!! She even
designed an event bright website for Facebook for folks to purchase tickets
on line!! This info will be on our publicity.
*BWS is Sunday, Dec 4th from 7am-1pm*. The actual event will be in Wesley
Hall open from 8-10am, closed during church service and open again 11-12pm.
We will have 3 bake sales running simultaneously as part of BWS in Wesley
hall, the narthex and NR lobby. Santa Claus will be available for pictures.
It’s BYOC Bring Your Own Camara! We will have crafts for the kids and of
course, serve a delicious pancake breakfast.
*Set up is on Sat, Dec 3rd from 9am-1pm*. Childcare will be available on
both Saturday and Sunday for those who signed up for childcare on the link.
BWS is great fun because the whole church comes together for the event.
Since it’s so popular, we need everyone’s help. It doesn’t matter if you
haven’t been to a meeting in a while, we want to enjoy this renewed
tradition with all our SWC members! For Set up on Saturday(9-1pm) and prep
and clean up on Sunday(7-1pm), all members are expected to attend. We have
broken the actual BWS event into 3 one hour shifts. During BWS, each SWC
member is asked to signup to work two shifts and enjoy their open third
shift with their family. Remember we will also be closed during
services. You will need to sign up to decorate a table. Also please sign up
to sell tickets on the three Sundays prior to BWS. The sign uplink is easy
to follow!!
Here is the beauty of BWS….husbands get to help out too. It really is a
fun family time! The guys have a great time in the kitchen on Sunday
morning, cooking, restocking and eating pancake “tortillas” under the
superb direction of Randy and Angela Tylicki. We love the husbands being
there and we absolutely couldn’t do it without them! And you get to sit
down with your whole family and enjoy a festive holiday breakfast!

Some basic info:
Proceeds will go to underprivileged women and children through the missions
of SWC.
Bring your baked goods Saturday during set up, packaged nicely for the bake
sales. I have asked the general UMW to donate goodies as well. We will sell
by donation.
Ticket prices: $8 12 and up; $4 5-11; free 4 and under
We are only allowed to sell tickets in the narthex and new room lobby on
one Sunday, Nov 20th, rather than our usual three Sundays. That is why we
are setting up satellite tables in the preschool lobby and Wesley Hall
lobby on Nov 13th and 27th. Nov 20th will also be the date for the new
playground dedication after church.That will work nicely for us to invite
CDC parents to BWS as well. Since we will have limited exposure in front of
the congregations, it will be important to you social media to advertise
and sell tickets.
Everyone will decorate a table. We will use our white MP tablecloths. (This
doesn't count as a shift;)!
Even though we started planning our event quite late, BWS is going to be
amazing!! It will take everyone pitching in Saturday and Sunday to be
successful. Basically everyone helps out where there is a need. If you're
on floor shift duty but it's quiet and you see the bake sale is flooded
with customers, go help the bake sale. If you're on bake sale patrol
with no customers and you see tables that need to be cleared, go clear
a table. The church loves how we take care of them during BWS. The older
members like eating a nice breakfast on actual plates with real silverware.
There's festive Christmas music and conversation. Everyone marvels at our
variety of table decorations. The kids love having their pictures made
with Santa and it's a nice alternative to standing in line at the mall.
Church members buy our baked goods as teacher gifts, hostess gifts etc and
they all love that every penny they spend goes to missions!
It's going to be great!! Thank you ladies for everything you do!!

Hi, thank you for helping bring back Breakfast with Santa! We need everyone
to sign up for the following: - come to setup (SWC members) - decorate one
table (SWC members) - sign up for 2 shifts each and that way you can eat
with your family on whatever shift you don't work. - come to cleanup (11:00
- 1:00 p.m. on Sunday) - sign up for childcare if needed and how many
children. This is important to make sure we have enough childcare staff.
