heyall! updates... we as a group approved signing over the "facilities" of the garden to yarrow in exchange for our debt of nearly $1000. good deal! and SS lease is in the works. we should have a new lease for April 1 that indicates a much lower membership price. Nina and co. has gotten lots of free seeds from URI. there was much debate regarding the importance of seeds being organic (URI seeds are not) but deciding its probly ok to use them though we would like to learn more about bringing seeds back from non-orgaqnic, can they repair through generations? as long as they are not montisanto(sp?). Anyone know more about this? We want to focus on biodiversity and permaculture planting. (this has many names but is integrated planting that serves the dirt and interdependanc of plants) Next Sat March 20 1-4 city wide garden kick-off @ Highlandr Charter School 42 Lexington Ave( on Broad St.) seed swap, workshops. music.... our compost needs seaweed, eggshells, seashellls, coffee grounds....bring em down. trev is directing our compost and we will be putting out a compost guide for our members as well as continuing to develop our compost bays and get them labellled with signs for 'light compost', longer term compost, etc. someone got volunteeered to make the signs... was it suzi?
