Hey. Larry:

How about a feature to place a tone over a selection to be used if you need
to bleep something like a phone number or profanity out of a file. A really
simple tone would be all that is needed. Thanks.

Hi Shela,
I think that is an excellent idea. I'm just having trouble figuring out why
we don't already have it in there as a hot key. We have it on the list now,
and when Rob gets back from vacation, he can either easily add that or tell
us why we don't already have it, or even, maybe we do, and it is not
documented.

Wow, you guys are too techy for me. Thanks for your input, but I need
something very simple so I can teach my 40 volunteers (some that have little
or no computer experience)how to use the tool. We are only using the mute
feature for post record edits. Things like mouth clicks, page turns, breath
noise... it is just tedious to have to go to the drop down menu to access
the mute feature.

The only problem with this is, some professional sound cards don't use the
Windows mixer, instead using their own mixer programs. This program might
well not work with such sound cards. The M-Audio Delta cards are one
example.
