Points well taken and I never knew that control-z would stop recording and erase the file at the same time. That's why you are the programmer and I'm the user. (smile) Thanks. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Rob Meredith" <rmeredith@xxxxxxx>

Jamie:

I don't anticipate such a feature. When you consider the trouble of implementation, its not good for us. When you consider that users would have to learn a new command and would have no less keystrokes, its not good for the user. When you consider that something great might happen while setting the levels that you might want to save, well...

Here's a hint. Hit record and set your levels. If nothing great happens that needs to be saved for future generations, Just hit Ctrl+Z. This will stop recording and undo what was recorded with one keystroke, and you are ready to go.

I would like the ability to begin a recording in standby mode so I could
adjust mic settings to avoid clipping without actually needing to make a
recording. I know that recording and then deleting the selection isn't a big
deal, but it seems as though this would be a nice feature nonetheless.
