My concern with the internet connection is that there has to be an easy interface to take the data on your local server, say, sitting in the stands at the competition, and upload it to an internet server so more people have easy access. I have never tried to merge MySQL databases, so I do not know if there is an easy, built-in interface or if we need to come up with a simple script to do that. If we can restrict it as such, we could just do a copy/replace, but I could see a user inadvertently messing that up and now he/she has two databases that need to be merged. Along similar lines, do we want to allow for multiple people/teams scouting the same team in a match? It would be nice for redundancy and eliminating bias, but how would we merge that data before entering it into the database? If there is discrepancy, how would we alleviate it? Do other people have more feature requests? Next week Thursday I will pose this question to our scouting team from last year to see if they can come up with more requirements. My additions are bold, My one question in red. Input interface: -PHP Web interface so no client software required -(Game dependant) Top-down view of field with clickable areas and selection boxes for inputting points real-time -(Game dependant) Check-boxes for WORKING functionality -(Game dependant) Selection box for WORKING autonomous functionality -Comment field for each robot Output interface: -PHP Web interface so no client software required -View all of one robot's stats on one page -Searchable by functionality (last year, for example, can cap center goal, autonomous caps side goal, etc) - (Game dependant) Match Prediction (input team(s) info and it will give a rundown goals etc for each individual bot and alliance as a whole) - Configurable ranking page (where user can sort all the bots based on the data inputted) - Strength of schedule portion of ranking page(based on how all of your teammates and opponents did on their other matches shows how hard your schedule was Backend: -MySQL database -Not dependant on having an Internet connection (i.e. the data can be easily uploaded from the LAN server to a web server later) -Hm. I an not totally sure what this means. What people will have is a .sql file from their mySQL database. So, anyone else with any ideas post them or post suggestions on the current ones! - Erik On 10/11/05, Brandon Ripley <Brandon.Ripley@xxxxxxxxxx <mailto:Brandon.Ripley@xxxxxxxxxx> > wrote: STAMP Features and Functionality Please comment on, add to, or add clarifications to this list.
