Dear Members,
Progress is being made on the Great Glen Expedition - Friday 16th until
Sunday 19th Sptember 2016 - the Passage Plan and Risk Assessment has been
sent to Scottish Canals for comments and approval - now is the time sort
out the personnel and the tasks.
Attached is a briefing note and a table for you all to put in some details
and return to me.
Although you have probably entered your name in the Doodle Poll - now is
the chance to confirm or add your name.
Please also advise :-
We are thinking of hiring a Minibus - this will incur costs - Yes or No
We have to pay for a Licence to Scottish Canals
We should pay fuel expenses to those towing skiff trailers and transporting
crews to and from accommodation and skiff overnight spots
Is it just you or are you bringing a Non-rowing Partner - are they
available to assist with transporting people to or from, is there a tow bar
on your car?
Do you wish to join us just to help - not necessarily to row?
Are you only available for part of the 3 days - e.g. arriving in vicinity
only the Saturday morning but have to get home for the Saturday evening?
Are you not available for the Friday, but can get up to Fort Augustus on
Saturday morning? Please enter as much information as possible to allow
planning of rowing slots.
