Rowing today was cancelled because the weather changed fairly quickly
between 11:30 and twelve o'clock.
The rowers down for the second session were informed.
Unfortunately it was too late to contact those in first session who had a
wasted journey.
For that I apologise .
Several issues were highlighted at today's Session.
Firstly ,and perhaps most importantly if you have put your name down on the Poll
and cannot come the responsibility Is YOURS find a replacement and inform the
COX.
This means if YOU cannot fill the seat the session WILL be cancelled.
Please do not pull out and assume there is cover.
The Cox NEEDS to know you ARE coming and are fit to row OR the name of your
replacement.
A huge amount of time and effort goes into safely organising these sessions.
It is taking more and more time to reorganise them .
Secondly it is YOUR responsibility to keep abreast of your e-mails .
How else can we contact you ?
An issue has been raised about the Rowing Club using Sailing Club Milk .....
really !
Please bring some with you if you have special requirements .
Finally if you are on the Poll please stay around .
There is not time to seek you out .
It is becoming increasingly difficult to fill the Cox's role - especially in
cold weather
Please do not add to the difficulty.
