By collapse I mean they went bankrupt and the Soviet Union broke up into
separate countries again, the Berlin Wall came down and the communists were
thrown out of power. There is still a Communist Party in Russia but they only
get about 12% of the vote.
There are currently 160,000 members in the CP in Russia.
The reason why millions of Chinese died of starvation under Mao is the same
reason why millions of Russians died of starvation under Stalin, which is
because the government confiscated all the food from the farmers as part of
collectivism and left them with nothing to eat.
We are entering a very dangerous time because the the government is broke and
the nation is divided which is a formula for civil unrest.

The Soviet Union collapsed in 1989 and you will find very few communists left
in Russia today.
Ten's of millions of Chinese died of starvation under Mao and communism. China
began converting to free market capitalism in 1989 and there have been no more
deaths since then. There are still some State Owned Enterprises in China but
most businesses and all those businesses that generate wealth are privately
owned. The Chinese are still ruled by dictators but there is no welfare,
unemployment insurance, food stamps or Social Security. China is communist in
name only, much like the U.S. is still called capitalist but has everything a
socialist state has, along with many of the things a communist state has.
I don't know. Maybe since communism and socialism are immoral to begin with,
then if the people are immoral then it's the only way they can be controlled?
Christianity has made a big comeback both in China and Russia. Putin himself is
a Christian. Funny how that works.
