It's all a show.
It's well known that for Obama's press conferences (1) teleprompters are used,
(2) only certain preselected reporters are allowed to ask questions, (3) they
must present the questions they are going to ask in advance. It doesn't always
go according to script, but when it doesn't the reporter who doesn't follow the
script is never asked another question. The most popular names in alternative
media news are never allowed to ask questions, ever. They are not even allowed
entrance.
Watch Obama's eyes when he speaks. He glances down and to his right and left,
back and forth. In the video under discussion he immediately glances at his
teleprompter before answering and then stumbles while continuing to stare at
it. If you can't see that then I don't know what else to say, except that you
are a brainwashed idiot.
Also look at the CNN interview with Donald Trump that I posted. They said it
was the first interview they have ever had with a presidential candidate who
didn't arrive surrounded by advisers and who didn't screen the questions they
would be asked beforehand.
It's all just a show put on the people who invented the word "politically
correct". Who determines what is politically correct? They do.

shall we? Do you really believe that the press secretary gets together with
the entire press corps and says, "OK, we want you and you and you to ask
exactly these questions in exactly this order, so we can load the TelePrompTer
with the President's exact words to use in his replies"? Does that really seem
plausible?
Sure, he may read from the TelePrompTer to make his opening statements. That
would make sense since he is, in effect, giving a short speech, and he wants to
get it exactly right. (Wouldn't you do the same thing in a similar situation?)
And, yes, no doubt he plans in advance which journalists to call on for the
first few questions, and he has an idea what they are going to ask. (Do you
remember when presidents always used to call on Helen Thomas for the first
question?) However, to suggest that he uses the TelePrompTer to read the
answer to each and every question is ludicrous. I'll bet you $1000 that
that doesn't happen.
Is Obama a better speaker when he uses a TelePrompTer? Of course he is.
Anybody would be. Are his press conferences completely scripted, as you

I don't get your point. Obama's teleprompter didn't stop working. He didn't
have one. He was answering questions from the press during his recent trip to
Ethiopia, speaking off the cuff, in measured sentences. Yes, he spoke
haltingly, but his answers were coherent. What did you expect, the
Gettysburg Address?
You can criticize him all you want, but try to be more substantive. It's
simply not accurate to say that his telepromter stopped working or, as the
title of the YouTube video erroneously puts it, that he lost his telepromter.
