all the bad things they
are accused of then neither would have lasted as leaders.
Punch in WHAT GOOD THINGS DID STALIN AND MAO DID and see what comes up?
You will see good and bad things both did. For example good things Stalin did:
You will see that Stalin led the USSR on several 5 year plans to industrialize
the country quickly
under a communist, not captalist system. If not for those industrialization
plans Hitler at the peak
of his power would have defeated the USSR as quickly as a hot knife going thru
soft butter. No
one I know questions whether Stalin and the Soviet army didn't fight a hard
war.
Therefore the Soviet and the Allies including USA GI Joes owes Stalin and the
Soviet Army a
great vote of thanks. I read that the German Generals had decided that after
the surrender of
their army attacking Stalingrad and everything else, it was considered
impossible for them to
win the war and they blamed Hitler for not allowing the general in charge to
retreat which he
wanted to do. Soon after a plot was hatched to assinate Hitler but it failed.
Punch in USSR Constitution and you will see several Constitutions, the 1936 one
is called
Stalin's Constitution which is too much for me to read but at least it shows
laws were passed,
The USSR was not run like a wild west no laws except guns, country.
Stalin ordered that woman pilots flying small, low speed spotter planes to be
fully trained fighter
pilots which did their part in bringing down German planes. I read he insisted
on being a pall
bearer at the funeral of one of those female pilots.
One of his estranged daughters said Stalin was not interested in money and was
known to live simply.
I never saw pock marks on pictures of Stalin's face, did you?
The above does not mean that Stalin did no wrong, he did and the Soviet
goverment acknowleged it.
