RR,
We have common ground here. Once our currency became disconnected from
anything tangible the floodgates opened.
(Thanks Nixon)
Now the whole world prints a paper flood. So far the powers that be
have kept inflation at bay by letting the lions share
of the funny money go ONLY to the 1%. But now the bottom 99% are
getting restless. The Federal Reserve put this out
today:
Boston Fed Warns of Interest-Rate 'Trade-Off'
The Federal Reserve may be nearing an uncomfortable trade-off between
what it wants to do for the economy and what needs to be done to achieve
stability
in the financial market, Federal Reserve Bank of Boston President Eric
Rosengren warned on Wednesday.
In plain English: The flood of money is NOT helping the 99% and if the
FED keeps flooding the world with paper the whole shebang will self-destruct.

RG,
I agree, but you are talking about a different kind of socialism. I
am talking about the socialism of the 20th century, only made possible by
central banks that are able to create unlimited amounts of money out of
thin air. Government gave private central banks the ability to create
currency in return for central banks lending them as much currency as they
wanted in order to pay for wars and social welfare programs used to buy
votes. I use the word "lend" loosely because it became apparent a long
time ago that governments had no intention of ever paying that money back,
which means that at some point it will become worthless since the
currency isn't backed by anything.
The end result, as you will soon find out, is that your pension and
any life savings you have will just disappear and/or will not buy anything.
Also, when the currency collapses so will the ability of governments
to borrow more money to pay for all entitlement programs including social
security, medicare, medicaid, foot stamps, etc., etc. A lot of people are
going to die.
