This genial language blog does an admirable job of soothing the ruffled
feathers of flinty-eyed grammar contrarians. Recent posts have noted the

and the problem with the "singular they" recently adopted by the influential
Washington Post. Additional features include a Word of the Week and the
occasional video of the Joke of the Week, starring the estimable Mr. McIntyre
himself.
