USA Today's Super Bowl Ad Meter

For those still basking in post Superbowl euphoria or despair or for those whose
football enthusiasm is strictly limited, today's site, from USA Today, presents
one
of the most ballyhooed elements of the event -- the spectacular commercials.
Gentle
Subscribers will find the complete collection of Superbowl XLIII ads with their
rankings.

"USA Today's Ad Meter tracks the second-by-second responses of a panel of
viewers
to ads during the Super Bowl and ranks them from best to worst. ... The score
given to each ad was based on the point during the commercial when it achieved
its
highest average score. ... For the first time, it wasn't an ad agency that
created
the best-liked Super Bowl commercial." - from the website

The site offers a roundup of the ads featured during the game, with their
rankings,
along with an overview of the mechanics of viewer voting. Ranging the gamut of
artistic sensibilities, this year's top picks highlighted magnificent
Cydesdales,
Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head characters and the mandatory operatic aria. Also
included
is a brief interview with the amateur producers who created this year's favorite
commercial. For the nostalgically inclined, links are available for previous ad
winners.
