Today's site, from the U.S. Internal Revenue Service, provides concise
information on numerous tax topics. American Gentle Subscribers, seeing the
looming filing deadline on the horizon, may find some quick answers at the
site.
"Earlier is better when it comes to working on your taxes. Taxpayers are
encouraged to get a head start on tax preparation, especially since early
filers avoid the last minute rush and get their refunds sooner. ... Tax

The site offers dozens of tax tips arranged by month, with the overall goal
of helping taxpayers avoid common errors in preparing their returns, along
with information on e-filing and how to get an extension. Specific tip
topics include how to report gratuities, declaring gambling winnings and
losses, and information on the child tax credit among many others. In the
February list of topics is the essential "Changes to the Tax Law for 2005".
