Site of the Day for Friday, October 15, 2004 WebCrossWords Today's site offers a great diversion for crossword puzzle fans and those who indulge only occasionally, as well. Gentle Subscribers who gave up on online crosswords a few years back as being too cumbersome and annoying to use, will find that this site has ironed out the wrinkles to present a smooth and easy interface. The site's most recent puzzles employ the latest Flash plugin (7,0,19,0) which produces a wonderfully user-friendly interface. The skill level selection allows players to chose either "regular" or "master"; the former displays incorrect entries in a different color and the "Solve" button provides help for those who are stuck. Those who prefer to drag themselves away from their computers to work the puzzles, will find the print capability a handy feature since it allows visitors to produce a hard copy of a blank puzzle, one filled in with the user's entries or the puzzle solution. Additional options include "pause play", "save" and "reset puzzle" among others. A special thank you to long time Subscriber "Avalle" for today's diverting site.
