Dear Eric Nicholas,

The Department of State is pleased to offer a YALI Network TechCamp in
Pretoria, South Africa, from October 21-22, 2015. The purpose of
TechCamp is to bring influential youth grassroots organizers together
for a highly interactive learning experience that combines
technology-led, hands-on training sessions and break-out discussion.
This TechCamp will focus on advancing each participant’s projects in
the areas of elections and good governance; climate change and the
environment; and human rights, particularly for marginalized groups.
All expenses (travel, lodging, and meals) will be paid by the
Department of State.

As a Mandela Washington Fellow, you are an ideal person to identify
your talented colleagues and friends, especially YALI Network members,
who should participate in this TechCamp.

Please forward the below link to five candidates who you believe would
most benefit from the YALI Network TechCamp experience.

TechCamp nominees should...
* be involved in running an NGO, or working with grassroots programming
+ ie, running awareness campaign for women's health or girls' education.
* be working in the following areas, if possible.
+ environment/agriculture/climate
+ elections monitoring or education
+ human rights, specifically LGBT rights and women's rights
* not be Mandela Washington Fellows from 2014 or 2015.

Please forward this email and note that the nominees need to complete
and submit the following questionnaire by Friday, September 25:
