Appreciate you making another shot at this. While the March timeframe
worked for me, the April/May weekends are just slammed with travel and other
obligations (including out of town, non-golfing guests - I know, I know, as
a SOGAGGer, there should be no excuse for having non-golfing friends. But
then let's consider our own level of competency here..).
If you get a group together that is onboard for some specific dates, then
I'll try to sneak out for a day or two if possible.
And if I can come up with any alternative venues and ideas, will pass
propose them to the group as well.

All - We need to make some decisions relative to our annual Vegas trip.
First off the travel dates, the plan was to travel to Vegas on Sat, 18 Mar
and stay until around Wed, 22 Mar.some folks were going to join us later
than 18 Mar. I have looked for rooms at the Grandview, next to Southpoint
casino, through the Armed Forces Vacation Club (AFVC), there are no rooms
available, or at least advertised until 31 Mar; as Chi Chi mentioned below
that can change. I have looked at other rooms in Vegas on Trivago for the
week of 18 Mar, and you could easily throw down $120 per night for anything
halfway decent.
So what do you want to do? I know Rules mentioned to punt to next year, I
would still like to see if we can make it this year. I would suggest we
review our schedules and see what works for.
For me, the weeks of 18, 25 Mar and 1, 8 Apr, and 6, 13, 20 May. Could
everyone do the same and get back to me. I will tally what I receive and
get to everyone. For reference, the average daytime temp in Apr is 78
degrees and the average daytime temp in May is 88 degrees. Also, for what
it is worth, single room rates at the Grandview are $350/7 nights starting
on 31 Mar, and the go to 2 rooms for $350/7 nights starting on 15 Apr (yes,
half price).
For convenience, as Chi Chi stated below, those planning for an 18 Mar start
were Knockdown, Shaft, OB, DoCho, Rules, Divot, and
Bagger.
Arriving late were sHank and Trek
Those not able to join were Axe, Skully, Ace, and Chi Chi, Bounceback.

Sorry for the delay ...
I wanted to pass along the latest update on the Vegas survey. There are no
1 or 2 bedrooms available at the Grandview for the week beginning Mar 18th
or any other time in March as of today. Of course inventory is always
changing and maybe something will come up. There are 1 bedroom units
available from Mar 24-31 for a cost of $349.
Due to a recent change in my vision, I am scheduled for eye surgery sometime
in Mid March so I am going to take a pass on attending this time. I'll be
happy to help out whoever decides to take the lead for making the necessary
advance arrangements.
