Louise - minimum curing time 3/4 weeks. (normal for all my soaps). Mine has now been curing for about 6 weeks and it is lovely and firm. I used patchouli in my scent and the soap came out a lovely light caramel colour. Perfect for shaving soap.

Make sure you blend in the clay really, really well to avoid any clumps. I mix into a small amount of oil, then add this mix back to the main batch of oils - and stick blend well before adding the lye.

Have fun!

Liz

Thanks so much Liz will make this weekend so Bill doesn't look like a woolly

Subject: [soapcraft] Shaving Soap recipe

Hi

Does anyone have a recipe for a shaving soap that lathers well and doesn't dry out the skin too much? It's for Bill he's running out of his existing
shaving stuff and I'd prefer he use something that I make.

Thanks in advance.

Louise
