Sibelius has the MIDI Capabilities build in. Concerning XML, Dave on our
list provided information about that plug-in last week.

What is the name of the plugins I might need to view a midi or xml file?
How do they work?
Are xml and midi the only other file types usable with Sibelius?
Sorry for this most basic question, but am I converting these other file
types to .sib and that's what the plugin does, or am I getting it into
Sibelius and then saving as with a different file format in the drop down?

MIDI Can work, but you have to know whether there is a pick-up, and it
helps
to know what meter, since that type of information does not always
transfer
over. XML files seem to work better. And you will probably want the
plug-in
as you work back and forth between formats.

Hello list,
I am interested in using Sib Access as a way to practice piano music of
other composers. Obviously, in these situations I don't have a .sib file
the music as i would for my own compositions. I am a much, much bettercould
pianist than I am a composer, so it would be a true life changer if I
solve this problem of how to see the music of others. I have beenbeyond
brainstorming possible solutions to this problem for years, and have a
number of questions. Here's the first:
Can someone give me a list of all file types readable by Sibelius 5,
the usual .sib? Have any of you had any success opening one of these fileuse
types? I tried a .midi file of a Chopin piece and I could tell trying to
it in Sibelius something was completely wrong. If you wish to unsubscribe, send a blank message
