You're saying set to desktop layout even though it's a laptop?
And, is this done in both Sibelius and Sibelius Access?

Need to set JAWS to use Eloquence as the primary speech. Make sure that
Sibelius is using the desktop keyboard layout.

I have been using SA 5.25 with Jaws 14 and Win 7 with no problems on my
desktop computer in my office room at home. I am a pianist and my overall
plan is to set up a laptop with SA near my piano (which is in a different
room) to help during my practice sessions so I can more easily hear the
notes I have to learn and so I can type comments to myself in the music file
that I can listen back to later.
The problem is that on the laptop the Division for the Blind in my state
purchased for me, despite trying to replicate everything he did successfully
on my desktop, the tech person tells me on the laptop Sibelius and Jaws
crash when they are both running simultaneously. Of course I've suggested he
reinstall SA etc. and I'm pretty sure he's tried this already. If any of you
can come up with any ideas of what could be causing this and what to try
that would be great , if I can get this system running it will be a major
life changer. I do not have the laptop, it is in the tech person's office.
Here is what he wrote me with details of the problem:

The issue is that when Sibelius starts it tries to take over the sound card.
All Jaws speech
stops at that point and Sibelius freezes and will not open. Jaws and
Sibelius both work independently, but not simultaneously. Sibelius will let
me use other audio programs at the same time, but not Jaws. Been trying
everything I can think of to get these two to be compatible, but options are
limited with the features that were available Jaws 14. Geoff
