Kevin,
No hope that your NVDA instructions will help with Sibelius 6?

George,
Gordon and I worked on a special supplementary bit of documentation which is
available on Sibeliusâ?Ts site at

The idea is to make Sibelius work with NVDA. While the doc refers to 7.51,
the functionality described applies to 8.4. Further progress will
eventually occur. For more details, write me privately.

With Sibelius now up to Version 8.4, and Version 5 so old that it will not
run on Windows 10, is there any sign of the long awaited access software?
To be quite blunt, the release of version 5 as freeware, stopped
commercial development dead in its tracks.
