Hi all:
Am coming from sibelius 5.2.5, and am finishing a very easy notation
task, i should use the sibelius 2019 because do not have a windows 7
machine.
no ties, no lyrics etc, just notes, expressions and tecniques, so
will i face any accessibility problems in just typing notes and
expressions on a piano staff?

I’m sorry my instructions. Can’t be clearer. I’m only a rough VO user
myself. Incidentally, you should change your VO key to Caps Lock from

The file we’re talking about can be found in a Zip file located under Avid
Accessibility. It’s called something like VIP Feature Set. I can’t
remember anymore.

and make sure that you have downloaded and installed the VIP feature set
that can be found under Sibelius Accessibility on Avid’s sight. You
will need to install this VIP feature set in a directory that doesn’t
exist until you modify and save one of the existing feature sets on your
Mac. It’s something like:
User\Library\Application Support\Avid\Sibelius\Keyboard Shortcuts. That
last folder is the one that won’t exist until you export an existing
feature set and give it a new name. Then, cut and paste the VIP feature
set from the ZIP file into that folder and use it.
For more details, read the documentation that comes with the ZIP file.
It is Windows centric and refers to Sibelius 7.51 but you can transpose.
Augment your knowledge with a generous dose of the Sibelius Reference
as well.

adding lyrics to a lead sheet, let’s say that you are approaching a
note from a note or rest immediately to the left of it and that the
note you are approaching has both a lyric and a chord symbol attached
to it. Starting from the note or rest immediately to the left,
successive tabs will yield a lyric line, without telling you what the
syllable is, followed by the note and then the chord symbol. The
chord symbol will be read to you. I guess you have to hit ENTER on
the lyric line to hear what the lyric is. I don’t deal with lyrics
and don’t know.

David, besides trial option, there's also Sibelius First which is
limited but free.
Ramy, I don't have the exact list, but I'm told that they fixed
bunch of
staff objects/properties that weren't previously speaking. They now
work
on both Windows and Mac. Also it won't say select every time when
you
select an object. That will save you some time.
Brian, yes it does read pitch, duration, as well as bar/beat that
the
item is on.
