I agree, except that in my case I use Sibelius 5.2.5 for the major work, and
then use Sibelius 6 with the beta scripts to do final score adjustments
before printing. 5.2.5 is a very good interface for blind users, in my
opinion. I have not used Sibelius 7 or 8, so cannot comment on those.

Hi all!
5.25 with scripts is definitely more functional, intuitive, versatile and so
on. I have both on my computer and use Sibelius 7.5 whenever I need better
sounds or for printing out the scores. I can work more or less with Sibelius
7.5 but I don't think that I could be efficient enough if I don't have 5.25
on my computer. I don't see any reason to give up from 5.25 unless you
cannot get it up and running on your machine.

Subject: [sib-access] Real world use of Sib 7/8 with NVDA
Hi All,
I've been asked for advice for a student at a college where they use
Sibelius version 8. I'm aware of Kevin and Gord's document about what
can and can't be done using NVDA, but I'd really welcome feedback from
anybody who is actually using either 7.5 or 8 with NVDA. Is it actually
somewhat viable, or really not a sensible solution compared with 5.25 or
6 with the access scripts.
Please, however much or little experience you have, I'd really welcome
any impressions, as I hear conflicting views on this question.
Best,
Peter
