You haven't seen the last of me just yet. I have a question if that's
alright; I know I've asked for help quite a lot recently.
The user guide says to paste the Jaws files into explore my settings.
It speaks about files only I use. do you paste into explore my
settings or do you paste into the folder within this folder, called
personalised settings? Sorry for asking but so many things have gone
wrong with this, I don't want to get more things wrong.

Sibelius is the gift that keeps on giving. I'm trying to do the last
stage this morning; ring Avid and so on. I've tried opening the
software and Windows keeps saying it's not working and will close the

work like JAWS help. What I would do is go into the Sibelius Access
Guide folder (it's in the JAWS scripts folder) and open the
Installation.html file. If you'd like to use the Contents file instead,

Please someone correct me if I'm wrong, but this is how I understand
the
process.
Your system generates a computer number, a unique Number identifying
your
system. Then Sibelius server generates an unique number (I believe
registration number in Sibelius 5) against the given computer number.
Computer number often changes when you upgrade your system or
reinstall
Windows.
You need both numbers in order to register your computer. Computer
number
starts with c, and registration number starts with r.
Having said that, computer number has nothing to do with not being
able
to
register.
For some reason, automatic online registration has stopped working
for
Sibelius 5 a while ago. You have to use manual method.
In newer Sibelius, I believe the related terms are machine id,
activation
code, and activate instead of computer number, regiration number, and
register.
