It seems there's a couple problems I've run into when it comes to importing
MIDI files into Sibelius.
1. When I view the notes with the arrow keys, they want to display as a
bunch of notes tied together, rather than the intended longer notes. For
example, instead of a quarter note, there are two 8th notes tied together,
or even four 16th notes tied together. When viewing the same in Sonar, it
shows up as a quarter note.
2. In Sonar, the MIDI file's tick resolution is 96 ticks. How do I change
the tick resolution to 960 ticks? I tried doing that in Sonar, but nothing
changed, so I want to try it in Sibelius. I'm trying to import it into
Sibelius so I can make the file into a score in order to edit the notes and
rhythms for a tune I'm writing as a gift for my beautician, who started out
as a classmate of mine in 6th grade.
