Ugur,

Glissando and harmonics are easy to accomplish.

I'm not sure how you indicate rasgueado in print. It may be that you just
add the word above the staff, in which case this is simple. Even if it
isn't that easy I'd doubt that Sibelius would be unable to do it, given that
it's a fairly common classical/Flamenco guitar technique and Sibelius can do
much rarer things than this. If your friend can explain how sighted
musicians normally indicate it, we will be able to give you more exact
advice.

Subject: [sib-access] Glissando and Harmonics

Hello again,

it seems like sibelius access expertees are being hammered with questions
but I guess they are happy to share their knowledge with newcomers like me.

Well, my question is this time not mine. We have a composer here, he works
on modern music. With Sibelius 3 he hs been writing his works till now but
sighted assistance was more help to him rather than the scripts which make
sibelius accessible. When I let him know about the Sibelius 5.2 and the
scripts first thing he asked if script can read "clef". we made a quick test
and happily saw that it does. Although he mentioned that this is a fine
step, he wants to make sure if scripts can handle such advanced musical
articulations like "glissando in an an harmonics". And he mentioned about a
guitar tecnic called "rasguado" and wonders if this can be read also.

Before I start digging the manual and documentation, can I ask if anyone
knows such articulations, or tecnics, are applicable by scripts in writing
and reading music?

I am sorry if I am asking something extreme about the sibelius software and
scripts in general

With best wishes
Ugur
