I always thought that if you type a syllable and then hit the space bar twice, a dash should appear under the succeeding note indicating that the previous syllable is extended. However, this doesn't work reliably. When I can get it to work, it only seems to work when I write a syllable, exit lyrics so that the syllable is highlighted, then re-enter the lyrics field at that point and then hit a space bar. What am I doing wrong?
