We are investigating ways of characterization both input and output buffers through electrical measurement, and we're searching for related industry standards that describe either: 1) definitions for common buffer terms like input voltages, output swings, impedance, etc.,; and 2) techniques used to electrically measure these characterisitics in the lab. I was able to find several JEDEC (www.jedec.org) specs related to buffer standards, but I have yet to find standards related to signaling definitions or measurement techniques. Anyone aware of such standards?
