[SI-LIST] Loss characteristics of SATA/SAS Cable

Hi,
 
I'm curious that whether there is any significant difference between backplane 
traces and SAS/SATA cable?
Such as their loss mechanism and frequency dependence? Is cable more linear in  
loss frequency dependence?
