Hi! I think that is problem what is the model of differential. Common mode differential signal needs the return path but differential mode not. Please think about this. Thanks reading. -----Original Message----- From: si-list-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:si-list-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx]On Behalf Of Bob Patel Sent: Friday, September 21, 2001 10:06 AM To: si_list Subject: [SI-LIST] Analog or Digital Hi! I had a question regarding analog signals i.e.analog signals are signals whose amplitude varies continuous with time. Now, my question is can I calssify LVPECL, LVDS signals as analog signals or as digital. I know what to classify it as according to my understanding but I needed some opinions on this. Now, why do I ask this because some engineers are trying to put lvpecl or lvds under analog and now try to connect these chips to agnd which I diagree and say it is much better to have a single gnd rather than having separate gnd and then worry about connecting them. Thanks in advance Bob p.s I am might be wrong but at least I will be back on the right path. __________________________________________________ Terrorist Attacks on U.S. - How can you help?
