Hi Mohammad, I've never used SIwave, but here are some Ideas what might have happend. Please check that your second simulation uses the same frequency points you had in the first simulation. Quite often the interpolation between the points can make things look different. You should also check if the impedance of the source, line and termination is exactly the same. Any mismatch will result in reflections and standing waves. Take a look at the S-Parameters of both simulations, they should be equal up to 5GHz. If you see equally spaced ripples in S11, then there are impedance discontinuities. For software related problems please see the ANSOFT Engineers, they will be happy to help . Hi all I've faced a bad challenge in simulating frequency response of Xtalk between two nets in my PCB, my simulating setup is as follows:(I did it in SIWave(Ansoft)) a voltage source is attached to a terminated transmission line with internal impedance equal to characteristic impedance of the line,(the line is also terminated in appropriate impedance),I've placed voltage probes in different locations that measure the induced voltage, the frequency of voltage source first sweeps from 1meg to five giga hertz with 200 points in frequency response, then i simulated with frequency ranged from 1meg to ten giga hertz, the responses are very different between these two simulations in common points (between 1 meg to five giga hertz)!,why?
