In a recent post, didn't I just read an opinion from someone who
stated, basically, that AKC has decided its future lies with puppy
farmers and "professional" breeders rather than small hobby breeders?
I guess this clinches it. It also belies the big beef about "other"
registries taking business away from AKC. I mean, if AKC were so
concerned, why would they participate in a seminar where the
*majority* of breeders are using and promoting a separate registry
that THEY started themselves???
Unless, of course, the idea is that AKC will eventually absorb this
America's Pet Registry, Inc. and bring back all those errant, runaway
breeders (and their profit margin). Something to think about...
