Hi all
I just wanted to say a HUGE thanks to this fantastic list!!! Some time ago, I
wrote to you about one of my bitches that I just could not get a litter out of.
The majority of you responded that it sounded like mycoplasma. I went to my
vet and discussed your emails, and he said that mycoplasma was extremely rare
over here in Australia, and that you could only do tests for it when they are
in season.
Anyway - to make a long story short, Koko came into season about 7 weeks ago.
I insisted that he do a test for mycoplasma, which he did. We also did a
surgical implant. One week after the implant, the results of the myco. swab
came back - she tested positive. :( He consulted with a number of other
repro. specialists around the country, and a course of antibiotics was started.
I am THRILLED to let you all know that Koko is now six weeks pregnant -
ultrasound shows 8+ healthy puppies, so THANKS TO ALL!!! Without your input, I
doubt very much that I would have ever succeeded in having a litter with this
bitch - and she is a very beautiful, structurally very close to the standard,
bitch.
I will let you all know when they arrive. :)
