Hello
My wife and I are being relocated to Jacksonville FL in April of this year,
we have owned German Shepherds in the past and have just acquired a
beautiful puppy from a reputable breeder in Germany. In a search for a
rental property in Jacksonville, to our dismay, due to the fear of
litigation we have found that real estate agents have a list of 5 dangerous
dogs, German Shepherds being one of them making it difficult or impossible
to rent a property through an agent. Looking into this further we found that
even renting privately through the owner, the owner's insurance policy will
be made null and void if one of these 5 dangerous dogs is involved in a
biting incident.
As you would know a well socialised and trained German Shepherd is regarded
as one of the finest family pets you can have.
Can you offer any advice? Do you know of anyone in Florida we could contact?
