Ah, but Barbara, as I explain to all my "other breed" friends (who admit to a
"little" surreptious' double handling themselves), what's the fun in it just
watching? This way, we all get exercise, laughs, get to meet new people
behind the trees, (or helping pick each other up). We are part of a TEAM!
No
way could that smarter than us GSD do it without us! The handler is just in
there to keep up with the dog and to tell us where to go (usually politely when
said out loud). And to stack the dog for the judge and the pictures. Even
there, we are a TEAM...the dog and his owner. The handler is just there to
get his picture taken with our beautiful dog, alerting to, who? HIS OWNER.
WE are a TEAM! (Now do you see why double handling is so important??? <
