What is the difference in personality? Brains? I am truly confused.

The cardis and pems are similar but the cardis are more laid back, I
think. Kind of clownish. You can't tell them they are small dogs. They
aren't really small, just short. Pems are a little more "busy". I didn't
think I would ever own anything besides a shepherd, til I got my first
cardigan. It's really fun to be able to show and finish your own dog
without hiring a handler and sending your dog away. Reminds me of why I
started showing in the first place. I got royally screwed by a breeder,
which kind of put me off the shepherd ring after that. Don't get me wrong,
I know most people aren't like that and I truly love the breed. But the
cardigans remind me SO much of the shepherds! And they can't steal stuff
off the counter! (Unless you leave a chair too close!)
