Jamie, That wasn't that long ago! It was the late 60's and I was a teen........we had gas wars in Texas and it went as low as 19 cents a gallon here. We were "driving" my parents Buick LaSabre wagon with a 442 engine in it. Could get a quarter a tank for a dollar! I drove that thing in a couple of powder puff drags to boot.
