[ SHOWGSD-L ] same day shows

MBF has a proposal that they are sending to AKC for two shows in
the same day. Their proposal is solidly positive for all concerned. In
some of the specialty clubs infighting seems to take precedence over
sensibility. I have heard people say that they will join with that club
eighty miles away only over their cold, prone corpse. There are two other
clubs thirty miles apart with the same feelings. They have been fighting
for forty years that I know of; consequently, one of them went under but
has recently been reinstated. Some never learn. It is beyond my
comprehension that the presidents ( the seemingly anointed ones) would
place their personal agenda over the obvious benefits to the breed and, in
large part, to their clubs and to this dying sport.
