Given the best of circumstances, communication in our human family is
not difficult, it is impossible. People can say one thing while
meaning something different, or conversely, say something quite
clearly and we hear something different. All of that has to do with
words, meanings, inflections, attempts to bridge from my reality into
yours without confusion happening. Problem is, confusion does happen,
far more often than we would like.
Then there are those times that people do not mis-communicate or
mis-read or misunderstand, they just have to talk, and speaking truth
is hardly part of their agenda. Yes, it hurts, but it is just part of
the human experience. Everyone gets their share, unless of course you
do nothing, say nothing, have no human relationships, stay out of
business and avoid the dog crowd. Oh yes, and stay away from church! I
know!
Anywhere there are people in groups there will be politics, gossip,
misquotes, miscues, misunderstandings and down right lies. Best policy
is to work backwards, person to person, straighten it all out,
forgive, forget, love one another and don't tell where you buried the
body. Then call Evan....
