thank you, kathy. we complain when people are being irresponsible and we
complain when people are trying to be responsible. sad. the adoption form
sounds like it is similar to that used by any reputable rescue. the last
thing a rescue wants is to find a dog back in a shelter after being adopted
out to someone. many of the dogs who end up in rescue need vast amounts
of medical attention, rehab, resocialization etc. and most will always have
some "trigger" that never leaves them as a result of prior abuse. rescues
don't and shouldn't worry about peoples' egos - it's all about finding the
best and most permanent situation for the dog being rehomed. sounds like
these folks are trying to do it right.

people , FIRST. Not a single dog has left the shelter yet, as they are

They are tending to baths etc, and caring for any of the dogs that may need
some extra help.
This is a non prof small BREEDER FRIENDLY shelter. It is in part run by
one of our own,
who has nothing but the best interest of the GSDs, at heart. Personally I
have NO problem with
the adoption form. They can ask me anything they want, and I will provide
the info, happily.
I am glad they are being careful. This is a good group of people. They
are doing everything they can.
