yes, evan mistakes can be and are made. in this case, perhaps you need to
go back to the individual who told you what you were told. again, and as
you say, facts are facts, but facts inundated with innuendo are never a
good thing.

1. Nancy obviously signed an agreement to run or she would not have
appeared on the ballot. Anyone can make a simple error in addition and,
considering how busy Nancy is with all of her Centennial responsibilities,
obviously did so as she miscounted her years on the BOD. It happens.

2. The Nominating Committee Chair is NOT a fact checker; he or she is
responsible for making sure that all questions are answered and that all
candidates are signers of the BC. The Chair does NOT verify the info given in
the individual candidate's answers.

3. The corresponding secretary is responsible for proof-reading and
fact-checking and, again, we have a very conscientious and BUSY corresponding
secretary who IMMEDIATELY took responsibility for having missed the error on
Nancy's agreement. You can't ask any more from someone than to step up and
be honest about a situation; the corresponding secretary did just that.

vote ... don't vote ... it's a personal decision.

I can only say what I was told.

I was told Nancy signed an agreement to run, when she was not eligible to
do so.

I was told the Nominating committee chairman is to check who can be on the
slate.

I was told the secretary proof reads it all before it goes out.

Then I want to know what Idiot at the AKC thinks a party can be convicted
in a civil court.

I needed a good laugh, and were it not for the cost to the club, this
would
be funny. Now I have to find another board member to get my vote.

I voted for one that wasn't supposed to run. Maybe I just won't vote the
next time.
