[ SHOWGSD-L ] kennel dogs....sigh

When I cannot spend QUALITY time with my dogs, I have too many. Right now, I
have 5...Mom and 4 of her progeny. Believe me, they keep me hopping trying to
figure out things for them to do. I try to walk each dog 20 mins to a half hour
every other day on a rotating schedule, take them for rides, etc. They all get
played ball with every day in the yard, but as Cesar says "the yard is just a
pretty jail"...dogs need to travel to be in a balanced state of mind. They do
spend time in kennels, for their own safety while I am distracted with
housework, errands, etc. We bought this house for our first GSD...we used to
call him the 150,000$ dog! We felt he needed more room than the house we lived
in, and he was so happy here till he passed from DM. Well, now we have
5...never planned that... but have put the house on the market hoping to buy
yet a BIGGER place for our furry friends. These are thinking, feeling animals
who need a life aside from me...they need the companionship of
their own kind, exercise, and mental stimulation They give me 100
percent...they deserve no less from me.
