Why breed to a German dog??
For me, and I have been doing it for 9 years now, it was strength of nerve that
I wished to improve along with feet and ligaments. Could I have found those
things in the American animals? probably, but it would have taken longer.
Because the Germans are required to Sch train their dogs they have had to pay
more attention to nerves and train-ability. It was the shortest route to where
I wanted to go.
Like I tell my German friends, If I was looking for shoulder I would look to
the American dogs, if I am looking for trainablity I will look to the Germans.
I have finished 3 of them so far in the AKC ring at both All bred and Spec.
shows.
I simply like what I get. And I breed to please myself.
